Meditation Eleven: August 22 - August 29

The Egyptian goddess Sekhmet brings the cleansing fire.

This is a hard one.

Our shadow must be confronted and overcome.

The Egyptian goddess, Sekhmet, was the goddess of war, pestilence and disease. She was also the goddess of healing. The Egyptians were fully aware of the truth that old structures must be burnt away so that new growth can occur. Sekhmet brought the cleansing fire.

This is the cycle that we face as Americans. We must be willing to confront and dismantle all the things about our society that are not working.

However, we have reached the point where all our progress must occur in the interior space. The only walls we need to tear down are inside our own psyches.

Wash your hands and drink a glass of water.

Take whatever position you normally use for meditation. Relax, breathe.

Mentally dedicate this meditation to the advancement of humanity.

See of yourself as a part of the Group Soul of America – it is the foundation of your life. You are the flowering of its potential.

When you are ready, allow your consciousness to rise up to the astral temple. Go inside.

Only your Holy Guardian Angel is present.

Approach the reflecting pool. Through the opening in the dome you see the Earth.

You see a vast disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean. A great swelling waves boils up and from it rises an army of lion-headed goddesses. Their skin is like black basalt and they wield swords of fire. They overrun the country like locusts and everywhere they turn the land is engulfed in flames. A wailing inferno precedes their advance as they troop across the great face of the country. Everything is burned away. Every house. Every car. Every sporting goods store. Every bar. Every McDonalds. Every person.

Mountains and grass and forests, all burn away.

Even the ashes are burnt. Nothing that now exists survives. The purging is complete.

Feel the reality of this prospect. Let this emotion lie on your heart.

Nothing. No one. No place.

And from this tabla rasa, this sea of ash and sand, tender new shoots of growth spring up…

Close the meditation and return to consciousness.
